Continuity as the foundation for elite sport
Where the race provides the stage for the biggest names in the peloton, behind the scenes it is all about reliability and continuity. For partners and organisers, it is essential that riders are able to keep performing under all circumstances. The goal is a race in which nothing disrupts the sporting contest and every detail is right, from start to finish.
Support where it counts
With six service cars and three motorbikes, the Shimano Neutral Service Team provided support in both the men’s and women’s races. Riders could count on immediate assistance in the event of mechanical issues, feeding and technical support. Throughout the race, the team was called into action several times, including for shifting problems and chain incidents, once again proving its value within the race.
More than a race
The impact of the day extended far beyond the race itself. Along the course, an estimated crowd of more than one million cycling fans gathered, once again confirming the Tour of Flanders as one of the biggest cycling events in the world. It was a day where sport, organisation and spectators came together, and where the unifying power of cycling was on full display.
Supported by strong partnerships
This high-level support is only possible thanks to long-standing partnerships with partners such as Shimano Europe Group, Shimano Benelux, Škoda Nederland and Van den Udenhout Groep. In close collaboration with Flanders Classics, we continue to build an organisation year after year in which quality and reliability are central, and every link in the chain works seamlessly together. As LPC, we work together with Shimano to deliver the Shimano Neutral Service Team, creating the conditions that allow riders to keep performing under all circumstances.
Building towards the next classics
With the Scheldeprijs and Paris-Roubaix on the horizon, that momentum continues at full speed. Together with its partners, the Shimano Neutral Service Team will continue to help make racing at the highest level possible, and contribute to the stage on which new cycling history is written.
