This weekend, Hulst provided the stage for the 77th edition of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships, where sport, organisation and spectators came together at the highest level. With tens of thousands of fans lining the course and historic performances in the field, new cycling history visibly took shape.

Ambition for a world-class championship

In the lead-up to the championship, efforts focused on creating a World Championships where elite sporting quality and experience would come together. In collaboration with organisers H2O Group and Stichting Vestingcross, LPC contributed as an expertise partner to an event where the world’s best cyclo-cross riders compete for the rainbow jersey, in a setting worthy of the championship’s status.

Making the difference behind the scenes

As an expertise partner, LPC was involved throughout the process and during the event itself, with the aim of ensuring that every race day ran smoothly and professionally. In close collaboration with partners including the UCI and KNWU, we helped deliver an event where every element came together, from preparation through to the final finish.

Where sport and experience come together

The championship delivered not only sporting highlights, but also major impact along the course. With around 20,000 spectators on Saturday and 40,000 on Sunday, as well as broad national and international media attention, Hulst firmly confirmed its place on the cycling map. On the course, Mathieu van der Poel wrote history by claiming his eighth world title, while Lucinda Brand was crowned Women Elite world champion on an all-Dutch podium.
