For 26 years, Shimano Neutral Service has been a constant presence in international cycling. From Grand Tours and classics to World Championships and the Olympic Games, neutral service is there wherever racing takes place. Throughout the season, the recognisable blue service cars and motorcycles support riders at the highest level and throughout the race.

Partnership with Shimano and international race organisers

Shimano Neutral Service operates on behalf of Shimano and various international race organisers. Behind the scenes, this requires close coordination with teams, event organisers and suppliers, where reliability and speed are essential. The collaboration has grown into one of the longest-running partnerships in professional cycling: 26 years together with Shimano and 21 years with Škoda.

Co-creation between LPC and Shimano

Shimano Neutral Service was developed through a co-creation between Shimano and LPC and has been coordinated from the Netherlands for more than two decades. From the service course at Autotron Rosmalen, equipment is prepared, logistics are organised and the operational team is managed. Under the leadership of former professional rider and Paris–Roubaix winner Servais Knaven, also former Team SKY sports director, the operation is built around timing, positioning and equipment management, supporting races across the Benelux, France and beyond.

Visible in the race, decisive in crucial moments

Within the race itself, Shimano Neutral Service is a recognisable and ever-present factor. In moments when teams cannot intervene immediately, the blue service cars and motorcycles are often first on the scene. A fast wheel change, support in a breakaway or timely assistance can make the difference between winning and losing. As a result, neutral service is not only highly visible in the race, but also directly influential in its outcome.
