Servais Knaven joins the Libéma Profcycling organisation with immediate effect. On behalf of the cycling event organiser, the former professional cyclist will take on the role of Coordinator of the Shimano Neutral Service for the Benelux. Knaven, who won Paris-Roubaix, claimed two stage victories in the Tour de France and, as a sports director at Team Sky and Ineos, played a crucial role in no fewer than seven Tour de France victories, knows the world of cycling and the dynamics involved in running the Shimano Neutral Service, like no other.

In the Netherlands and abroad

In his new role, Knaven will lead the service team behind the iconic blue cars and motorbikes at several major international races. Since 2001, Libéma Profcycling has been responsible for this service in the Benelux, as well as for organising World and European track championships at Omnisport Apeldoorn, the European Road and Cyclo-cross Championships, and the ZLM Tour. In addition, Libéma Profcycling brought the Giro d’Italia to the Netherlands in 2010 and 2016. With Servais joining the team, Libéma Profcycling is taking another step forward in its professionalisation. Thanks to his experience in both the professional peloton and management, Knaven will make an important contribution to the continued growth of this service team.

“We are delighted with this valuable addition to our team. Servais brings not only a wealth of knowledge and experience, but also a drive that will undoubtedly help take our team to the next level. With his arrival, we are taking the next step in the continued professionalisation of the Shimano Neutral Service.”
