Where Libéma Profcycling once began as a provider of neutral service at cycling events around the world, it has grown into an organiser of top-level national and international events in the Netherlands. From the Giro d’Italia start in the Netherlands to European and World Championships, the ZLM Tour and the Track Champions League, always with one clear goal: to provide a stage for new cycling history.

A quarter of a century in cycling:

Over the past 25 years, Libéma Profcycling has organised dozens of leading events, including:

  • The acquisition and partial organisation of the Giro d’Italia starts in Amsterdam in 2010 and Gelderland in 2016;
  • The Belgian National Road Championships in Knokke-Heist in 2008;
  • The European Cyclo-cross Championships at Autotron in Rosmalen in 2018 and 2020;
  • The European Road Cycling Championships in Alkmaar in 2019;
  • The Tour de France finish in Valkenburg in 2006 and start in Waregem in 2007;
  • Multiple European Track Championships in 2011, 2013, 2019 and 2024, as well as UCI Track World Championships in 2011 and 2018;
  • The Track Champions League in 2024;
  • The ZLM Tour since 2019;
  • The Track Cycling World Cup in 2016;
  • And events such as the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup, the Dutch National Track Championships and, most recently, the European BMX Freestyle Championships.

Libéma Profcycling started with the organisation and support of the Shimano Neutral Service and has also been involved in various cycling trips and corporate sports projects, both in the Netherlands and abroad.

Looking back and looking forward

The 25th anniversary is a fitting moment to look back on the past. In a special anniversary video, Libéma Profcycling reflects on 25 years of passion, expertise and collaboration, shaped together with many dedicated people and partners. At the same time, we are also looking ahead to the future, and to the new chapters yet to come.
